Default brakes

riding today and i hit the brakes and then i notice i feel a bad vibration, well its happened a few times, but its like i can feel the circles in the brake rotors. I dont think my brake pads are bad but maybe the rotors worped?

Any other ideas?

Rotors could be warped but you could also have some bad pad build up on them. Take the front wheel off the bike and get the rotors off. After you have the rotors off hit them with a high grit sand paper (or if you want to be professional about it get a brake hone, but sand paper is fine) and go all the way around the face of the rotor both front and back. Don't touch the rotor with your fingers and reinstall and see how they feel.

Before you do this you can check for rotor runout with a dial gauge but not everyone has one of those so "eying it up" may work for you.

Good luck.

Most likely a sticky caliper. Break it down and inspect all the bits for wear/damage. Make sure everything is clean and lubed where needed. Use high temp grease and make sure you don't get any in places it doesn't belong! Probably worth inspecting/cleaning the pads and rotors while you are at it.

Does the vibration decrease as you come to a full stop? That's a surefire sign that the rotors are warped. If the vibration is constant no matter what speed, then it'd be something else.

Gets worse as you come to a stop (i.e. as the wheel spin slows down)? Then it's warped rotors. Solution? You can fix them or buy new ones.

Yea, it gets worse as the tire slows....how do I fix them without buying new ones?

I've heard/read of putting it on a machine that measures the warp. Then if the rotor warp is within tolerance, they can machine the waves out so that it's straight. Yes, this means thinner rotors. That's the negative side of it, I suppose.

My suggestion - buy straight rotors. You can install both F4i and F4 rotors and there are plenty available. I figure you shouldn't skimp on things that will save your life.

Here are a few I found on eBay:
HONDA CBR600F4I CBR600 CBR 600 FRONT ROTORS *FREE SHIP* | eBay

HONDA CBR 600 CBR600F4 F4I FRONT BRAKE ROTORS pp | eBay

Honda CBR 600 F4i front rotors discs | eBay

EBC PRO-LITE FRONT BRAKE ROTORS HONDA 01-06 CBR600 F4i | eBay

With the used ones, you WILL want to ask and document the seller confirming that the rotors are, in fact, straight.

You can check for warp by laying the discs on a piece of heavy glass or granite.
Run a set of feeler guages under the edge between the disc and the surface it's on. Your run-out is ....(biggest guage you can slip under anywhere) x2= run-out.
