I just replaced my rear brake pads last night...eek what a task to get that piston to compress. When I put the bike up on a rear stand and give the tire a good spin should it only rotate like 1 full rotation or should it continue to spin until gravity takes its toll?

Right now when I give it a good hard spin it stops within 1-1.5 rotations, and is somewhat hard to spin.

 

that's about right...there's always some drag on the front and rear brakes.
