Do a search, you have to drill, then cut a hole. The only hard point that works (so I hear) is behind the fairing.

There are many detailed posts on this, so do your homework. I'm doing mine next week. Good luck

there is a easier way, when i had my cage installed. Use a drill and small drill bit, drill it than use a dremel to make the hole bigger so the slider fits in.

I found the laser technique the easiest and safest way. I only wished I had measured my pucks before drilling the 2" hole... it's too big. Should have been 1 3/4". I couldn't do the playdoh method... too much foam padding behind my fairing. The laser put me dead center and let me check before I drilled the hole.

I agree with the laser method. When I put the sliders on my bike I will deffinately use a laser pointer.
