Bogging off the line
Just curious if this may be an issue with my bike or if other people notice this:
My '01 F4i seems to have a flatspot/bog down between idle and 3000pm where the power is very noticeably poor. I'm just curious if this is a fuel injection thing because my 2000 F4 (carbs!) felt very smooth through this RPM range with steady increasing power. I'm wondering if maybe the throttle bodies aren't sync'd or if the slip-on hindle exhaust is causing issues - or a mapping issue with the FI No power commander on bike or anything now. Bike runs great otherwise.

I have noticed this too but only when the bike and air temp is warm. I have always assumed it was normal. I have heard doing the air box mod fixes it but I don't feel like messing with it, my bike works and that is all I care about.
