Blinking LED turn signal lights>?
Hey everyone. 2001 F4i here.
Looks like the previous owner had those aftermarket LED running lights on it. I finally got the electrical system sorted out - and darn if these things don't TWINKLE while they're in 'running light' mode. It's like a strobe in slow motion.
Does anyone know anything about this? How do I stop it? They look like the typical flush-mount lights but they're GLUED in. PO did some wacky stuff.
I don't like the twinkle. Not my style. Do I have to get rid of them to fix it? If I wire my turn-signal mirrors into them will the mirrors also twinkle?
Any responses appreciated!

When using LED signals you need to use diodes in line to get the stock 3 wires to work with the LEDs 2 wires. The LEDs will still cause rapid blinking when the signals is activated
I have integrated mirrors and signals (both LED) and when the bike is idling you can see the LED running lights "pulse" with the rpms, but as soon as you give it some gas they brighten up and stay solid.
Is the twinkle only at idle?

Sounds like a bad wiring connection.
I'd remove the signals, replace w/ quality new ones (like Hotbodies flushmount LEDs), & rewire properly...either as running lights or just as turn signals. See redzintimidator's excellent how-to post here... https://cbrforum.com/forum/how-mecha...-inputs-84998/ . That way you'll know they are installed properly & will work properly. Then, move on to other projects w/ confidence.

Thanks for the input folks
These appear to be 3 wire lights - but one wire is simply taped up.
If they just pulsed with the RPM's I'd be pretty happy with them. I'm not a perfectionist and I think that would look a bit more mechanical and kind of cool. They actually strobe -
V V V V and then repeat. The LED's stay on for maybe a half second or so? Kind of like a cop car or a fire engine.
It's hard to describe!
Thanks for the replys. I'll try to get a pic some time this weekend. Not likely though - gotta attend my bud's bachelor party. (so I may actually die) hahaha! Hopefully I'll be revived.
