yea dude, but we gots to respect one another's liking, opinions, etc. unless they can be proven wrong by fact or experience...and neither fact nor experience can prove that chroming a bike sucks or is a bad idea for show (for racing is different...see above post about shine and crashing buaajjaja).

he likes chrome, we give him chrome and just be happy cause he's happy....yea?

it's like sup with the super duper extendo gansta long swingarms???? dunno, but **** likes it.

True dat Tahoe SC! To each their own I guess. Never understood the extended swingarm thing either but obviously there's people out there that love it. Since I'm new to the sportbike world it's great just to get people's opinions. I spent a ton of $ on my car rims and never wanted those in chrome. But, never was too hot on the black rims on bikes either. No plans for track days for me, just a cruiser around town on the weekends. LOVE riding, had no idea how awesome the bike community is. Thanks to all for their feedback.

Got my wheels chromed - $500 for both. First thing you notice is the additional weight but once you get used to it, it's fine. When I lean into turns, I start by simply going low as if to knee drag, but have it balanced enough that my knees (usually) don't hit the ground. Used to be real easy without the chrome...now, those few lbs of weight make you re-calculate your lean trajectory. Like I said...once you get used to it, you'll be fine. I know that (obviously) my track bike won't have any chrome on it. Good luck.

yo mang...if you just don't like the black, either have it polished as was suggested before, you actually can polish it so hardcore that it looks chrome...
or go with something totally different, like powder coating. that's one bling bling mod i would do...powder coat my rims so they look like the OZ rims...

Hmmm, powder coating may sound like an option. What are the typical costs to do that?

Gotta consider that for the price. Appreciate the info! I saw that post on rim stripes and I think that's sweet as well. Damn first it was $500-$600 for chrome, then $80-$90 for powder coating, now $10 bucks for some stripes? Damn this site is sweet!

Only chrome I have on my bike is the bar ends and the clutch and brake lever. If anything, go powdercoated. I dont really care for my black rims, but it goes with the whole color of my bike. Chrome would be just too much bling in my opinion. Lotsa carbon fiber for me, but little chrome.
