Default Leaking again!!!!

Hey guys. Everything was fine until 2 hours into my canyon ride. My legs were cramped so I pulled over to stretch. I smelled gas so I looked under the bike and saw the leak from the same place as yesterday. So i got back, took off the gas tank, and replaced the part again.

Its the same type of tear in the same place. Any ideas of what can be causing the hose to tear?

Two things.

Is it rubbing on something sharp? If not, it sounds like there may be more pressure in that line than we thought. Try to replace the line with the Honda part, which you can get from Bike Bandit or the local dealer.

Its not sharp so it might be something else. I replaced the line with a motorcycle specific hose. It was cheaper and fit a little more tightly than the one at autozone too. Im sick of smelling gas so im not going near my bike for a week or so. I'll try riding it then to see if it leaks again. I hope it doesnt.

Default Update

Bikes leaking again. The tear was a lot smaller than the tear on the autozone part and a little bigger than the tear on the honda hose. So i replaced the hose with a honda part that costed me 11 dollars compared to autozones 5 or 6 and the one that costed 4 or 5.

I was hoping the problem would just go away but its here to stay. I'm guessing its the fpr and maybe the fact that my mpg has been getting crappier and crappier has something to do with it. Still doing lotsa searches so any help will be appreciated.

Default Take a picture please?

Before I rule the problem as the fpr, i noticed that the hoses get kinked or pinched between the frame and the tank. Can anyone take a picture of the layout for their hoses under the tank? The fuel return hose was originally under the fuel injector hose so i put the hose on top of the fuel injector hose, hoping that it would stop the pinching. Will doing this pinch the fuel injector hose? Anyone else do this?

Okay. Stop just replacing hoses and hoping thats going to fix it cause its not, there is something tearing at your hoses find out what it is.

Edit, it is probably the frame pinching the hoses. Try placing them so that doesnt happen.

Does your fuel return hose go under the fuel injector hose or on top of it?
