Bike's engine is 'missing' on RPMs at 3k.

Default Bike's engine is 'missing' on RPMs at 3k.
Hey guys I have a 2001 CBR 600 F4i. The bike idles fine. When i rev to 3000rpm it starts missing. If I go pass the 3000 rpm mark it's normal. Does anyone know what's causing this problem?

Lots of things can cause that. Have you pulled the spark plugs yet? Check them and see if there is oil in the spark plug tubes.

If oil is on the spark plug what does that mean?

Leaking valve cover gasket. Can cause random spark shorts to ground, thus misfires.
