Default Bike wont start - possibly battery

hey guys so the other day i was riding my bike and everything was good. it always starts as soon as i press the electric start. the next day i went to take it out and went to start it except it didnt want to start. All i was getting was the sounds from the electric starter the motor didnt want to kick over at all. after a few minutes of trying this to start it i gave up and took the battery out to try and charge it. after giving it a full charge i went back out and put it in and hooked up the connections and now the bike doesnt even light up the dash or anything when i turn the key it is taking absolutly no power from the battery. any suggestions guys or should i just take it in.. its not making sense to me. another thing i noticed was there was another cable down by the main positive and negative battery cables which is unnamed and is much smaller than the other two. it is a small black cable and looks like it should be attached to the battery.. Any help would be appreciated right now, thanks

usually when the lights do not light up at all you have the main fuse blown. i think its a 30a fuse.
and the other cable you see would probably be another cable to attach to your negative battery. it is probably an extra ground for the R/R. just guessin.

thank you omg209, i checked my main fuse and sure enough it was blown. I put in the spare and my lights came back to life, however my bike still did not. I am back to square one where my bike just wont start. I got a quick video i am gonna chuck on when i figure out how

hmmm..i had that problem before. it just will not start.
are your headlights turning off when you press the start button?
though for some reason my battery would drain quickly when trying to start it that many times and i had to hook it up a charger just to try and start it again.
well anyway i left it like that for 2 days, where i could not start it.
when i came back to it, i adjusted the idle to make it higherr and it fired right up.
sorry if this did not help you. maybe others will know.

I really don't know man, seems you have fuel coming in, I heard the injectors prime. The basics are you need fuel, air, and spark, I'm not sure what you're missing.

Did you check all of the other fuses as well?

If you put up a good pic of your extra wires, maybe they can be identified. Battery tender maybe?

i think your need more than 12.3 volts on your battery for a good start. anything below that is bad.
