Default Bike wont start help!

When I first start the bike and ride it starts fine. Then after every stop when I go to start it back you can hear it turn over a couple times then start and it eventually stops turn over and your hear the starter turning then eventually. Everything goes dead and I have to jump it off down a hill. The battery is reading right around 12-13 volts so the battery seems to be good. Also idk if this effects it but my starter button sticks down now so after every start I have to pull it back out. Any advice would be appreciated. I've heard it could be my rectifier.

Well I seem to have more problems as well. When it is running and I get on it a bit the oil light comes on and you hear a bad ticking and can smell a slight burning smell from the clutch cover. The oil has just been change as well as the cam chain tensioner and guides. The oil level is fine too. Any ides please? No fi light is on either.

I would double triple check that oil level (warm the bike up, kill it, let it sit for a bit on the kickstand then hold it vertical and check the sight glass). if not, possibly a failing oil level sensor? Or the wiring.

What it ended up being is the timing guide was ripped apart due to the tensioner being too tight, still haven't figured out my charging problem
