Default RE: Bike stand

What about sliding a fitted metal rod through the axle to use in place of spools sincxe it's hollow all the way through?

I just got a stand as a xmas gift but it needs spools and i'd rather not weld..

T Rex stands, the best stand your going to find for the money. They are really stiff and don't flex at all and you can use spools or pads. I use mine for my 929.

The T-Rex ones are good. I have them and installed spools on the back.

yo..where did you install them...from the pix you have in your avatar, with that set up, at full or near full compression, looks like the spool would hit the pipe...

Here's a few pictures. I have actually tried to compress it enough to see if it will hit and haven't been able to.

Did you just drill & tap the swingarm or you got them welded on? Looks nice & clean. I would like to do the same thing on mine.

those are tapped on. welds go under the swinger. make them nice and low just in case the pipe hits it.
