Default Bike runs like crap

Hey guys,

Once my bike is warmed up then shut off i have to hold it wide open to start it again. Once it is started it idles like crap and bogs at low RPM's. It has 7,200 miles.

Any Ideas?

It could possibly be the throttle position sensor going bad. There are several things it could be.

Could be leaky injectors, leaking after you shut it off. If you have leaking injectors, after you warm it up and shut it off it will slowly leak causing it to flood a little.

Not likely. You need to get the service manual to fix this. It could be fuel pressure related, fuel injectors, throttle position sensor, crank position sensor etc.
My bike has done this to me several times since about 8000miles also. After a long ride I shut it off. Go to start back up a minute or so later and it won't unless I crack the throttle a little bit. Once it starts up it runs perfect again. When I changed my plugs and air filter around 12,000 it got better but didn't solve it completely. It does this so little I don't put any effort into solving it [maybe 4 times in 23,000 miles]

I've been looking at the service manual.. its not just the starting problem now that bothers me it bogs down and will die if i dont keep the rpm's high when i come to a stop. I tested the fpr by taking the vacuum hose off, tipping the bike to the right, and starting it to see if it sputtered gas out but it didn't. I really dont want to have to take it to the dealer because im dead broke right now and the bike is my only way of transportation (I walk to work)
