Did you try what I described above?

Again,

"To tell if the voltage regulator/rectifier is working, park the bike with the headlight facing a wall, rev the engine and see if you headlight dims. If it fluctuates, most likely your reg/rect is working."

No I havent tryed that But im going to as soon as i get home from work. But what it does is it fires the bike up at first and when you shut it down it wont fire the bike up again. So we swapt the batteries with my friend and it did the same thing on he's bike. And once I put his battery in my bike i could start the bike up and shut it down all day long. But the other thing what threw me of is even with my boddys battery when i take the positive plug off the battery thebike runs for about 3seconds and then shuts down. Thats what made me think the alternator might be going bad.

Ok, well if the battery is good, and your bike is draining it while riding, it's most likely the Reg/Rec. It's pretty easy to install a new one but you need to make sure with a voltage meter that it's bad.

^^^^Voltage meter says its good. So after calling all the shopps around for a battery I finally found one for $80 everywere else they wanted $175 for the OEM one thats crazy. I got the battery installed and I've been riding since last night and everything looks good. So i hope it was a baterry only.

That's great. When you say "the Voltage meter says it's good", did you properly measure and trouble shoot the reg/rec according to the manual or did you just check your battery voltage?
