Default Bar End Magic?

SoI was riding last night, practicing some wheelies and what not. On the ride back to the house i thought my grip felt wierd on the bars, my pinky on my right hand was lacking some resistance. Took me a second to realize my bar end on the right side had disappeered. The left one is fine, all tight on there and what not. I never noticed the right one being loose, and it didnt snap the bolt off, the threads were clear. Just to be clear the bike has never been put down. So I can only assume it just came loose and fell off. My question is, has anyone else experienced this? And should it be covered under the extended warranty? It's not a wear item as far asI know. I know they are cheap to buy aftermarket, but seriously, this stuff shouldn't be falling off should it?

Happened to my f4 a few months after i laid it down. But the dealer should replace it for free.

if the dealer is cool they will replace it but it's not under any part that would be regarded as warranty. you're supposed to check for loose bolts, etc. on your bike in between service, etc.

i too lost mine. just one day it was gone.

Wow I thought mine was the only one that loosed up periodically, however mine is always the left side.

I ran over my friends bar end when doing some twisties... not fun. Then a couple of months later my left bar end was loose. What's with these things?
A loss can be an opportunity too... look for cool ones on ebay :P and let the customization begin
