These threads are like a bad pair of sunglasses I swear ... every forum I've been to has the oil discussions, what's the best octane to use, tire pressure to run, brand of gas to use, tires, chains, sprockets, and the list goes on and on and on and ..........

anyway ... I believe I saw an actual scientific comparison of oil on one forum where the guy used every different kind of oil that he could put in his bike and shipped off samples to get them tested and see what kind of life was left in them ... His results were Rotella synthetic was a good oil to use, now it's even rated for use in motorcycles and it's pretty cheap compared to the similar oils sold by other companies ... Higher priced oils don't always make them better, as alot of the times your just buying a name and paying for advertising ... I'm trying to find that particular thread among the MILLIONS there are on there to post up the link .....

I've been trying to find a good replacement for the OEM power steering fluid. It's getting a bit on the dirty side. Guess I'll just go buy some standard ATF and top up the reservoir.
No need to start another oil thread.

Haha I wasn't sure. It wasn't ridiculous enough like turn signal fluid to know for certain. Cheers.
