no...i don't smell gas in the plugs....and all 4 of themlook to me the same-since boredandstroked said that if the FPR goes bad,it will floud the 2 middle cylinders...
the only thing that ican do now is to wait for the FPR, and hope that this is the problem...
any suggestions???

yes someone else had their cylinders flood.

let me rephrase my questions...

1. did you check the plugs to see if they actually spark?
2. when you crank and crank and it doesn't start, do you smell gas from the cylinder area?

does the pipe area smell of gas as well?

if you're getting fuel, you'll smell some at the cylinder, your plugs would be wet AND you're smell lots of gas from the rear.

if the plugs are sparking but the bish isn't turning over and fuel smell is not so pronounced, you're lacking fuel.

Yeah I'd wait for the FPR. Could be the problem...

although there are about 500 things that can turn these bikes off, electrically speaking. The ones that I can think of off the top of my head while you wait for the FPR:

1) Kickstand Switch
2) Clutch Switch
3) Front Fairing wiring harness
4) I think your radiator fan fuse if you remove it (think but not sure)
5) Low voltage on about half of those ECU pins
6) Plug cables
7) A shotty bank angle sensor.

I'm sure I'm forgetting about 493 more, but you get the idea. They have a tendancy of ratteling themselves in and out of contact with each other, causing intermittent problems. I've had a few electrical problems that were a bitch to find. Now, I grease up all my electrical connections once a year. Keeps the gremlins from coming back.
