Default Akrapovic Gas Guzzler

After I put an Akrapovic slip on on my stock '05 F4i (no PC), my gas milage dropped from ~240 km/tank to ~200 km/tank. Is this usual for a slip on?

Does the bike run any better or worse? I'm guessing the pipe changed how your bike is running and you now need a PCIII with a map for the Akra. I'll be doing the same with my bike in a few months, can't wait.

Actually, it's non Californian and therefore doesn't have an O2 sensor. The bike runs pretty much the same with the pipe (maybe slightly more power) - just sounds a lot better. All my researchsuggests that it's notnecessary to run a PCM with a slip on. Anyway, I would think that the unrestrictedsilencer should increase the airflow and lean the mixture if anything.

Which is 240km just like amnesia was getting.

Amnesia, are you sure you're not rolling on the gas more often now to hear the new pipe?

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well

I have the same slip on, andI get 200-240km before that gasindicator comes up (which means 30 more km tilltank isempty). I have better mileage in the city than on highway, in the city its usually 2-4k rpm, and on highway its 6-8k.

I have a Two Bros. and its loud and I like to hear it also. I ride around town anywhere from 6K-10K and it eats up the mpg. Ride at lower rpms and you will see a difference, but it only costs me like 10 bucks to fill it up, so I don't really care about my mpg.
