yeah your right man the ditch sounded alot less deadly, that gaurd rail could have sliced you man hood off!
and im sure you dont want that haha just messing with ya im glad to hear your ok, and im in the process of repairing my bike
considering how the front end slammed into a curb i guess the damage was not to sever
twisted my forks something awful and bent my left rearset, snapped the bar on the left and bent the clutch lever
but very little rash on the plastics huh go figure
ill take you advice and just start riding again, i never pushed my self to the limit riding wise unless i was at the track i just didint catch that patch of gravel in the road, and the thing is im always scanning like atleast 20 minutes ahead of my self bc where i live people are so stupid, cell phone no look turns and stuff, the works
im just glad to be alive, i def appreciate riding so much more, scince i have been on my *** with a broken foot for a month but im def not gonna sell the f4i i love riding to much and its safe to say that its in my blood
old man road raced, flat tracked, motocross, and street, same with my uncle so of course i had to stard ridin too
haha
but riding is so dangerous, my buddy crashed his busa at like 110 and snapped his neck
he is now paralized from the neck down, so compaired to him all i got was a scratch, so my thoughts and prayers are with him
and any one who has been hurt by there passion for riding
dont give up hope and gear up!!
thanks for all the posts
ride safe

I'm going thru a similar situation - last week I was in a wreck in my truck, but it really got me thinking about the bike (possibly even selling it). I wasn't speeding or anything like that but this 17 year old girl who had her license for 5 weeks didn't see my TRUCK coming down the road and she pulled out of a perpendicular side street to turn left and she did that when I was about 2-3 car lengths away. Luckily my truck didn't take too much of a beating ($4k in damage) but if I was on my bike it could have been game set and match. Sorta makes me nervous about the bike (I've been riding about 1.5 years now).

imagine hitting her car at the same spot, but when riding - I would have been lucky to get over her car and tumble but it's hard to say what would have happened. I know I won't be commuting on the bike anymore, I'll just save it for weekend rides. It's apparent to me that people around her just don't know how to drive...

Gonna be tough to jump back on, but I'm sure you were nervous the 1st time you rode a bike. Just take it easy and ur confidence will come back soon enough. Just remember people break bones in car accidents just as easy or even just tripping over things. Lucky thats all that happened. Good luck and stay safe

wow man that sucks about your truck! glad its just your wallett that got hurt!!
those things are nice, but you know compairing your truck crash to being on your bike may be hard to tell, i mean when i ride im always looking out for **** you know and your always more alert when your on 2 wheels so maybe you could have caught it god forbid you ever have to deal with it but you know people are nuts soo... watch out
i really hate hearing about bad news and crashes but as my dad says even a seasoned moto gp rider can slip up and crash or highside
and those guys are the best riders in the world!
so there must be some golden lining in that

just a thought

its tough mentally recovering from a crash, took me about 2 months to get my head straight after fixing my bike and a broken collarbone. try this though: ride by the place you crashed, you might get nervous at first but youll eventually habituate to the stress. and when u get back into it, just start off slower..
gluck with the recovery and the repairs

well FFcbrf4i i was wearing my hjc helmate, shift jacket with armor built in to it, icon leater gloves, and jeans with adio shoes
it was just the daily commute home from work ya know?
thats a crazy story f4ez!!
i remember when i first got my f4i and was riding on a busy road i had a similar thing happen, i was going about 50 and i see a car swerve in the other lane so i slowed down and had to dip out to miss a fuc*ing ladder in the middle of the road! it was not a small step ladder either it was a big metal one i also felt that i had someone on my side with that one, but i like you attitude towards riding its very positive and powerful, thanks for the story man thats pretty nuts

ride safe!
watch out for ladders and beds!!!!!!!!!
