And dunno what you peeps are smokin about inaccurate GPS ... the three I've owned were accurate to within 1/10 of a knot. It would only give a read out if it had a signal and once it locked on to the signal it was extremely accurate.
The GPS I have is also dead on ***** accurate. I just chose not to comment on it seeing as how he's going 135 at 7-8k rpm.

I said GPS weren't accurate too. But I was thinking phone GPS. My 'berry and Droids are great phones. But a couple times I've been driving thru buildings about 1/4th a block behind where I actually was according to them

Never invested in a true GPS since they're accurate enough

My GPS switches the speed limit as soon as you pass the sign.

Ya, I ignored that part as well. I mean, dang, I spent close to $5K putting together a turbo, plenum, water/alcohol injection, nos ports, digital boost gauges and not to mention an easy 100-140 hours of work to eek out 228mph when a stocker F4i will do 270mph. I'm such a tard

And then you traded it all away for 270 decibels at 7k rpm

EEHHH? WHAAAAT?!? Nah, I like the Nightrod. Almost wish I could afford one. But the F4i has a stock can on it. Vs the F3's TBR, I'm liking the stealth mode.

But back on topic, someone once asked me what the top speed was on my F3 and I said "Too fast". Unless you're draggin, does it realy matter?

Doesn't matter to me. I get alot of people asking me how fast she'll go and I'll tell them how fast I've taken it but I hardly ever get the opportunity to get it up there. As far as being fast enough? I dunno about that. BMW is supplying the police force with turbo charged diesels that have a higher top speed than my F4i so I might have to upgrade to a 1000 by 2012. That or get a plate flipper and find some traffic.

A dedicated GPS unit like a handheld Garmin is very accurate. After gearing my bike -1 in the front, I used one to adjust my speedometer with a Speedohealer. My bike was accurate to at least 75mph (the fastest I calibrated it at). That being said, I have seen my bike hit 150mph at it's limit, which should be a fairly accurate speed.

Most bikes have a speedometer error on the high side from the factory, like Kuroshio mentioned. So unless you have calibrated it with a GPS or other method, it's going to be inaccurate, especially if you're zmds18
