i was going to paint my rr swing arm black before i installed it but after looking at it on my silver and black f4i it matched pretty good... i kinda like it now...it all depends on the color scheme of the bike and if you want it to pop out or blend in...
i really wanted to do the rr wheel as well but i didn't have the cash at the time..
how close is the front rr wheel to fitting? if i do one i want both...anyone know?

Thanks for the reply! so im in the process of buying all the parts including 600rr rim to make the process easier. do you know if i need the upper and lower shock brackets from the 600rr? the guy im buying the parts from is selling the brackets seperately but if I dont need them, I wont buy them.

yes you will need the upper shock bracket and the linkage off of a 03-04 rr..and the shock off of a 1000rr doesn't matter what year as long as the reservoir is sticking strait out not to the side...i am assuming you are getting a 600rr swing arm off a 03-04..the 05 and up are different...
i have a extra brake caliper bracket if you don't already have one.. to be honest i have a 04 600rr rear brake setup..everything but brake lever..

the rear RR brake caliper is the same. The bracket different. (spacing)

You will need the shock bracket, but you may be able to get lucky and buy a 1000rr w/ linkage and bracket (top hat) already on it, and and use that (if not I have the linkage and top hat I can sell dirt cheap)

just scavenge through ebay, sorting by lowest price... you'll find what you are looking for.

Just try to find the MOST complete swing arm assembly you can for the cheapest price (tensioners, etc)
