17K miles on an F4i is nothing as long as it is maintained. You read about people with 80K+ all the time.

thats a cool video. we were thinking more along the lines of a "sand rail" style of kart with street tires and a independent suspension. similar to the arial atom just smaller and with a 600rr motor.so the ruling is that me swapping the motors is completely pointless and way to much work???

Dude, From my understanding the 01 to 03 F4i's have the same amount of HP as the newer rr's,, they decreased the HP in the newer F4i's inorder to mass produce the rr's, otherwise they would have two of the same bike more less! So, if there is nothing wrong with the moter, I wouldn't touch it! Have fun with the Go-Kart!
