600 F4i- Can't hear Fuel pump priming -bike wont turn over!
Check for codes. A lot of things can make it not prime. Like i said I had a broken injector wire at the ecu and it had the same symptoms as you. I checked my codes and it told me it was the injector. The test port is there for a reason.
this is probably not it just wanted to make sure it is mentioned... and not to insult your intelligence (and youre not brand new to the bike so you may have already had this happen to you) but its happened to me before briefly... you dont have the kill switch on the right handle flipped off do you?
e2a: nevermind, didnt fully read the opening post, sorry...

Still a good question. Alot of us guys more familiar with our machines take these for granted. We couldve spent days trying to diagnose something like that had no one thought to ask
What condition is the battery my friends did the same thing the other
day at work, turned it on dash lit up but no pump and wouldn't turn over.
We jumped it with a jumper box, started right up. He had the pump not
priming when he first bought it and they replaced the ecu.

yes, i have checked all the fuses
and they are all good.
I talked to a buddy of mine and he told me to try and directly jump the fuel pump to see if its the pump its self. I located the service manuel for my bike and am trying to figure out exactly how i go about doing this. He tried to explain it to me over the phone but that didnt help me much. Can anyone explaing to me exactly how i go about doing this so i dont *$#% anything up?!

i gotta say BAS! i had the same problem, is the headlight on ? if its not it is the BAS. or that green wire that is in the main harness. I would start there, I just had te same problem, i jumpered that green wire out side the plug and she started right up, and then i cut that F-ing sensor out! dont need it any way, the green wire was melted in the harness!!! i have had two F4i's and this is a first for me, but it was hella easy, and lt me know if ur intrested in jumpering that BAS i will help ya,
stay safe and hop ur **** starts soon.
jdizzel.

im goin with the bas as well. my connector somehow loosened up under the fairings on its own and all of a sudden no start. took a lot of trouble shooting and hair pulling to find out it was a loose wire that really isnt needed. just make sure all the connectors are tightly together in the nose.
i have a 2002 f4i with only 3200 miles the other day the bike quit on me and i didnt hear the fuel pump priming,,i've checked the fuses and there all good, i had put diffrent headlights in the bike so i thought id try change them back to the factor lights and when changing them back i turned the key on with the left headlight unpluged and everything worked normaly and the bike started, when i pluged the headlight back in the bike died on me and fuel pump lose power.... any advice out there
