Default 2012 Winter To-Do Lists

Figured all of us could use a place to keep a list of what we plan on doing to our bikes while they are stored away in the winter.

As I have hit 12k miles on the odometer I have a couple crucial things to be done...

My running list:

Replace oem air filter with K&N air filter
Replace brake fluid
Replace coolant
Powdercoat rearsets
Check spark plugs
Replace chain, & possibly sprockets

I have no work planned for my bikes this winter, but my advice to everybody working on their bike in the winter is to work SLOW. Last year I spread out my work long enough to just about hold me over until it was riding season again.

Gonna do the run-out on the valves, their definetly due at the 20k I've got on the
odometer. Re-build the seat, I log 100-120 miles and my butt hurts. Start a serious
hunt for a set of bars that will put me where I need to be. It's time for the serious
paint for my little beastie, as well. I threw a rattle-can at her when she first came
home, a year ago. It's time for the pearl grey/white with black tiger strips on the
uppers and nose. Black (maybe a white pinstrip) for the lowers and side/tail.

That should keep me busy during the days it's too ugly to ride.

Not much overall, and I'll only buy the parts during the winter. Work won't start until spring.
