Hey all,

I have been lurking in this forum for a few days now, getting some great advice and ideas. A little about myself, I am an off-road convertee, just bought my first street bike, an '06 F4i yellow/black. I would post pics, but if you have seen one sitting in the showroom, you know what it looks like, lol. I have now put about 100 miles on it in the last 2 weeks or so (great to live in Texas in the Winter). I am considering several upgrades, but most everything I am finding, eBay and whatnot, stop at '05 or earlier. Specifically I have looked at undertail and lighting kits and have yet to see anything listing an '06. Do y'all know if there have been any changes from the '05's? Will theses fit easily on an '06? Any advice on where to find aftermarket '06 products?

Hello & welcome to the site. From what I've read... the 05 and 06 RR's are the same. Might be the same for the F4's. Put some pics up when you have time.

congratulations. i just bought the same bike 2 weeks ago; coming up on 1000 miles now. i believe the '05 and '06 are the same (as stated above) as far as accessories. only small difference that i know of is the O2 sensor was added in '06. previously, this was the california model only. i'm planning on keeping it stock except for adding frame sliders and rear fender eliminator. per the denniskirk site, these items fit 05 and 06 models.

i am also in the dfw area if you want to go for a ride. in fact we are leaving at 11:30 today from starbucks at bethany and 75 (in allen). moderate pace out to paris and back via what little curvy roads we have in this area. just look for the bike that is identical to yours (i got the yellow / black too - although not really black; kind of a dark grey).

Welcome Coby. I'm an off-road convertee myself. I still have a Ltz 400, but I don't ride it much. Where I live you have to drive at least an hour to ride the thing.

To answer your question, the '04-'06 CBR600 F4i's are identical with the exception of the available colors. In fact, as far as the body goes this model matches a lot of the pieces on the '99-'00 model too.

And by the way, with the exception of a few folks that have added custom paint and graphics all of our bikes are pretty identical. But we don't care. So make sure you post some pics of your new ride anyway.

 

Thx for the info. I will get some pics up later today or this week. Already 60 degrees this morning, so may have to get out and get some miles in today. I live north of DFW in Wichita Falls, so I am a little out of the way for most DFW jaunts, but if you are ever in the area just let me know. I do occassionally head to a Stars or Rangers game, but usually that is with the kiddos, so no bike on those trips. Look forward to continuing with the group here. Thx for the warm welcome.
