2002 F4i undertail
Hello,
I have a 2002 with the 2" dual brake lights that the previous owner messed with. Looks like he's one of those wannabe electricians so it's a mess. The lens cover on one is missing, nuts are missing to hold them in, sockets are a mess. Needless to say it's not a questions of do I fix but rather replace. Now I've dug around for replacements but all i can find is the hotbodies 2" LED's which are not good at best for basic lighting, I've also discovered a the mod to install replacement LED's which look better. So I'm at a cross road now. Do I:
1. Mod the 2" LED, which will require new sockets, and LEDs for around $120?
2. Find a new undertail and eliminate the dual LED?
It would seem replacing the undertail with a new tail light would be easier, but I can't seem to find anything on if I can swap say a 2004 stock undertail onto the 2002 or something to that affect. Any thoughts on this?
