Ugh, sorry wasn't paying attention.

Looks like youre bout 60 miles away from Philly. But the weather is supposed to suck this weekend.

 

To test my ECM, I found someone selling their F4i on craiglist and gave him $20 to test it.

 

During the week I live in south Jersey (08038); weekends I live in south/central (08731). I can be in Philly in less than an hour! If you are willing to test my ECM one of these upcoming weeks, could you PM me your cell phone number please? I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried contacting one guy on Craigslist and he didn't want to. I'll keep looking, but it seems like Kuroshio will help me out.

 

UPDATE:

I was able to test my ECM:
I contacted a guy that was selling an f4i on Craigslist and asked him if he would test my ECM. He was ok with it and I told him I would throw him twenty bucks for helping me out.

Outcome:
He put my ECM in his bike and the pump DID NOT PRIME! With his ECM and pump primed as it should (came on for about 2 seconds and then shut off until the bike was started).

What does this mean:
Problem almost solved; my ECM is bad and I need a new one.

Next steps:
-Find someone somewhat local with an ECM.
-Meet up with them
-Put ECM in my bike
-If it works, buy it.

glad to hear it. Too bad you're not in soCal: there's a guy by me that has a working ecm for sale. it's a CA version though.

Well, that's excellent news. So I guess you've got 2 bad ECM's. Maybe that's a common failure for that particular model. I'm glad you're almost home.

 

Not exactly, 1 IS fried, no spark no ground to relay. Yes I do believe the 2001-2003 have this common ecu problem. The other just will not prime the fuel pump(no ground signal). Those are the 2 ways I believe they fail.
For now I have a Jumper on the relay.

The good-I know the bike from front to back and could ALMOST be a Honda Tech. Have another guy close to me that will put his ecu in my bike to confirm it works 100% then we will talk price.
