don't take this as people ripping you down... i re read some of the post it may sound that way.. but by far it is not..

really just check your oil pan for gold shavings check clearances check your clutch disk and timing chain tensioner...

the old phrase =if it's not broke don't fix it, there is allot that goes into changing bearings rings cleaning pistons and valves..it is not a simple task....

looking around is always good to catch things trust me i know i got lucky
here's my thread
https://cbrforum.com/forum/f4i-main-...begins-143246/

but if there is a problem there are always symptoms..your engine will tell you when you have a problem unless, clearances are to tight that's the reason for the periodic checks recommended by honda. tight clearances you might luck out and get a light piston slap w/no damage 50/50 shot.

The F4i doesn't need upgrades to sustain longevity, it just needs routine maintenance and TLC.

I purchased it from another rider so I don't know what is worn out on the inside...my buddy purchased a 636 from someone, rode perfect for about 3 months and the clutches gave out, and the oil pump gave out he's into his 3rd engine cause a bearing gave out on the 2nd one and he lost a piston...I just don't want that happening to me, so I think it would be smart to open it up to be 100% possitive, don't want to be on a long ride and something I could of prevented happens

It certainly couldn't hurt to give it a thorough inspection. Just saying that upgrades aren't necessary.

Although one upgrade I can think of that would help is a Factory Pro shift kit.

What is a Factory Pro Shift kit?
What its function?
What does it help?
Does it have to be professionally installed?

Thats a kawi. They do that new too.
Check the clutch if your really worried about it, change all the fluids, check brake pads, chain+sprockets and the cam chain tensioner. Other then that just ride the thing. 30,000 miles is nothing if it was properly cared for.

My 01 has 29000 on it and I wouldn't dream of needlessly taking it apart its expensive and puts your bike down for much needed riding time these things are just about bullet proof.
