After I put a new basket and clutch in I cleaned out the oil pan and sprayed everything I could see up under, the timing is tight and guides are in good shape, the only issue is now when I start it, makes a terrible rattle that sounds almost worse then rod knock but it doesn’t sound like a knock please help

 

Did you check the bearing when you put the new basket in?

 

The clutch basket bearing? Yes it’s smooth and quiet, it’s also brand new

 

If it didnt do that before, then it must been something from the installation, maybe open her back up and see
