Motorcycle rims can be clamped from the outside using the same machine as a car. Just be sure to cover the claws with the plastic covers or use folded rags to prevent gouging the lip of the rim.

yea youre right gonna keep searching the cheapo used tire shop is a last resort, but it felt like the guy cursed me out when he told $80 for each tire smh....search continues...

Keep an eye open... Like I said the guy I found I called in a buddy that runs a house of enduro... Sent me to a bike club here... Called the owner and he gave me the number... Bikes at the guy now and his shop was no bigger then my garage but does great work and cheap... Need to find your self one of those mechanics

I've never used them, but I have heard positive things about them.

I mount my own tires then just take them and have them balanced.

Yeah you caught a break on that one man. I dont even know any other motorcyclists in the area as of now, im sure they dont all pay 80 bucks each tire every time they need new shoes. ill keep looking somethings gotta give soon...anyones got any connects in VA lol

you mount your own! is it difficult? ive read some of the threads but just didnt get a full understanding of it

Yeah 80 bucks a tire is absurd. My local shop does it for about 20 bucks and half the time the techs will stop what they're doing and do it when you bring them in. I've watched them do mine more than once, doesn't take that long. And rotella is a good choice. I've been using it in my bike for 10k miles now with 0 problems. It's usually still got some of its gold tint left when I change it at 3,000 miles. Hell I use the stuff in my 2011 WRX, can't beat it for the price and how good of oil it actually is.

lol im sure the tire machine makes it super simple must be real convenient not having to worry about these sharks being greedy out here
