Default 190 Series

So a 190 series tire will fit a 01' F4i no problem right?

well the 190/55 is great but most likely your talking about a 190/60, which means the tire has to be pinched onto the rim more, nothing major but a lot of tire vendors will tell you not to do it
you will need to make adjustments to the suspension to maintain stock geometry because the 190 is probably taller than the 180 you already have

i had read an article about changing the size of tires which i cant find at the moment but basically the article said that by changing the size of the rear tire can ultimately change the performance of the bike. In the article they used a test bike which was a 600cc motorcycle which came stock with a 180 rear. well they tested it out on the track and compared times with a 190 rear. Well the 190 actually hurt the performance of the motorcycle because first off its heavier, second its wider so its not as nimble in turns, and it also altered the whole geometry of the motorcycle. If you can imagine how much engineering went into producing these bikes you would think if the motorcycle would perform better on 190's then stock they would come with 190's. Well stock they come with 180's and thats because the bike can handle that much.

I got a 190/50 dunlop qualifier on my 02 and i have no problems. I bought it thinking the wider the tire the straighter it would make me go in a wheelie but i cant really tell a difference for **** but it does make me feel a lil better

if you dont crave corners and do nothing but highway wheelies then the 190 is your tire[sm=icon_cheers.gif]
