-1/+2 Sproket 520 Chain?? Goods & Bads
Ok So What I Have Hurd The -1/+2 520 Chain Convertion is Awesome And I Have Hurd From Some People Its Bad On The Bike For Just Normal Every Day Riding In The City And Highway And That Its Good For The Track. I Am A Pretty Hard Rider, Like The Speed Not The Top But The Acceleration Part Iv Never Gone Over 247 km/h Just Dont Feel The Need To Yet, So If The Convertion Wont Hurt My Bike As Much As Some People Say It Would... Should I Get It Cause I Was About 95% About The Buy It Now Ima About 60 % Any Intel On This Would Be Awesome

the only issue with a 520 conversion is that it could potentially wear faster i believe. you WILL feel a difference in acceleration, and you WILL lose top end. personally i would rather get from 0-60 in the blink of an eye than go 200 any day. you may also want to look into a speedo healer for about $110 if you do this. the different sprockets will but you at about a 12-15 percent difference on your speedo, and also record more miles on your odometer

Been thinking about it ever since I bought my bike but I use mine to commute an 80 mile round trip everyday and on the highway I think I would turn about 700 more rpm crusing at 75-80mph. If I could get a different size 6th gear that would kick ***.

The healer is really just optional. I did the 520 conversion to -1/+2 and it's great! The bike responds a hell of a lot faster. Not to mention 2nd and 3rd gear wheelies stand right up now.
If you wanna read the correct speed you'll have to get the healer, or you can just take a gps with you for a spin and get your speed differentials figured out so you'll know what you're actually doing and what's indicated.
