06 tail conversion exhaust question

ok so ive searched this topic and really came up empty handed but i did the conversion on my bike 01-03 tail on my 06...anyways i cant get my exhaust to mount up without leaking like a bastard i loosened the bolts on the clamp slid it back just far enough to mount it on the peg and it leaks real bad and i was told that all i have to do is slide it back and i will be good and well im not so any hepl would be great

do you have the stock exhaust or an after market one? if you have the stock one w/ the gasket undamaged you should be fine. i believe that all you have to do is basically check if it's screwed tight where it connects to the header.

if it's an after market one, check the diameter of the midpipe and measure it to where it connects to the header. it should fit... maybe it's just how you're mounting it is the problem.

yea i still got the stock exhaust its hard to explain so i will just take some pics and post them up

oh i know now... you need an 01-03 stock exhaust. u can't use your 04-06 stocker cuz it is measured up to mount differently.
