Im looking for a new inexpensive bike. Found a 06 blue in perfect shape with 3000 miles and lojack for $4000 which I thought was a killer price. But I really would prefer the RR due to the aggressive seating and I suppose it is slightly faster so Im toying with ideas now.

the 01 - 03 F4i split seat tail is a direct bolton for your 06. It will give it a more race like look compared to the nana seat. Cost will depend on how well you shop around for parts. I spent $700 to complete my tail swap on my F4, that included me painting the tail fairing, recovering the seats, and buying misc bolts etc.

Parts you will need for that mod are:

01 - 03 tail fairing
01 - 03 subframe
01 - 03 undertray
01 - 03 tail light or aftermarket taillight or undertail with lights.
01 - 03 seats, rider and pass.
01 - 03 pass pegs.

I eventually got a battery for a 01 - 03 F4i (its shorter) and install a F4i R/R but these are required for the swap.

You can also recomp some of the cost of the swap by selling the nana seat parts.
