Default 06 F4i vs RR

Can I get the brief summary of the differences

Also, what parts can be changed on the F4i to make it more like the RR and what is the approx cost?

Im looking for a new inexpensive bike. Found a 06 blue in perfect shape with 3000 miles and lojack for $4000 which I thought was a killer price. But I really would prefer the RR due to the aggressive seating and I suppose it is slightly faster so Im toying with ideas now.

Thanks

for your seating issue they make a split seat for the f4i to make it look just like the rr seating.... im not positive but the price comparison between a rr and a f4i is going to be quite a bit.....

How much and who makes? Will that makes the seating identical? I realize the suspension and engine is detuned. Really I want this bike as a segway before I goto a 1000RR so I want to be used to the more aggressive stance.

Thanks

actually I think the split seat conversion is just an old style split seat rear frame that you have to mod to the bike.
That price seems like an awesome deal. You might be able to flip it for 1k or so.

The stance is very different though and if you want to get used to an aggressive seating position, you're really not going to find it on the f4i.
You could always force yourself into an aggressive seating position on the f4i, but the bike keeps pushing you to pretty much straighten up as often as possible. (at least it does for me)

How much depends on the deals you find in the classifieds or on ebay. (a couple hundred bucks) Who makes it...Honda. The '01-'03 F4i comes stock with a "split" seat. You will need the sub-frame, plastic (tail and under tray), tail light, and seats. It does not look EXACTLY like the RR as stated by ZMS, but looks better than the banana seat. And its a direct bolt on, no fab work required.

Also do you think a 2006 F4i in immaculate condition, with cover + lojack + 3000 miles could be flipped for about $5000? I wouldnt mind riding this for 6mo-12mo then then breaking even or making a few bucks, then upgrading to a 600RR or 1000RR.

Thanks

Depends where you live and what time of year you sell I believe.

There are a lot of people who claim to get their F4i's for dirt cheap, but I see them in NJ and NC going (and selling) for 5k all the time, and usually they have cosmetic damage and/or high mileage.

Plus, the blue color is pretty rare in my experience.
And the lojack system itself is near $1,000 installed from a shop.

If it were me, I would jump all over that.

In fact, if you buy it and want to sell it in a year, lemmie know
