Default '02 F4i parts availability

I am looking/considering to buy a '02 F4i red/black. I test rode it, tracks straight and runs smooth but the seller told me he did go down on a sharp curve and the left side/fairing is cracked and scratched. Everything else looks great. Is it worth the $4800, (talked him down from $5300) for 8k on the clock? Will need new tires too. Are the fairings easily replaced and where can I look, besides ebay? Not that much different in power than my F3 though but it is newer and fuel injected.
Thanks.

$4800 sounds kind of high for a busted up '02. But Bike prices differ all over the country. Ebay IS going to be your best bet for cheap parts. If you want cheap NEW parts then servicehonda.com is you place.

Not that much different in power than my F3 though
OK

you should be able to tell a fairly significant difference between the F4i and the F3...so there could be something wrong with the bike mang!

Thanks blackdog for the servicehonda site. Tahoe, I test rode a second '02 f4i today and it felt the same as the first busted up one. (It also didnt feel stable, the front wiggled, probably due to a front cupped tire.) Maybe I'm used to the F3 hard pull of the carb feel. Anyhow, I still want an f4i and will most likely purchase one in the next couple of weeks. thanks for the input.
