Default 02 F4i

Hey im new to the forum and I just got a 2002 F4i. I have put a Yosh pipe on it for sound but im wondering what are some cheap and easy mods to give it a little more power. I had a ZX-9R for about 6 months and i just bought the F4i and it doesnt have quite enough ummph. any suggestions would be greatly appreiciated. thanks

A PC will help with throttle response and shifting but it won't add any ponies to your ride. Your pipe might get you a couple extra and even more if its a full system but nothing too drastic. If acceleration is your thing go with a different sprocket setup.

If all else fails...sell it and get a 1kRR.

The best mod you can do is a -1 +2 sprocket change. Power commanders are worth it and there are plenty of them cheap on Ebay.

^ that the best ummph for your buck and easy enough to do.
i hope youre not comparing a 900 to a 600cc bike. its like apples and bubblegum.

I would say you bought the wrong bike. First it is a 600, second it's an F4i...

That aside, the F4i is a great bike if it suits your needs but it sounds like it doesn't for you.

no i love the bike. i just wanted a little more acceleration. the 900 would roll on wheelies but this one cant yet. i realize it is a 600 but ive seen hundreds of 600's including f4i's roll on wheelies. i like this bike much better than the zx-9r.

the sprocket sizes you will need are 15 tooth for front and 48 tooth for the rear. It would be a good idea to put a new chain on too with the new sprockets. Make sure that the pitch is the same for the sprockets and the chain. Some people run a 520, others run the factory pitch which is either a 525 or 530. All these paets can ge bought at any shop or online supplier fo about $160.
