01 Idle problems

RE: 01 Idle problems
Absolutely...... a stuck injector would definitely cause a problem, as well as cause low fuel pressure. Not unlikely either if it's been sitting for 8 months. I have that happen on the diesels I work on all the time.... injectors stick open, fill cylinder with fuel, engine hydrolocks.... big mess, lol. Did it crank like it was hydrolocking at all?

RE: 01 Idle problems
If it hasnt been cranked all day, it cranks fine but it instant idles to about 3k rpm's. Then gradually it gets to running temp and the rpm's srat to idle down. But after a few minutes it'll idle itself dead....Now if u try to crank it again, its hard to crank (like its flooded or something). But it will crank eventually.....Sorry i didnt know what the term hydrolocks meant....=-)
