01 F4i at the 1/4mile...
I had a chance to see what my 2001 F4i could do, and just yesterday took her to the local strip.
Mind you, she's bone stock cept a Yoshi slip-on.
I'm not too great at drag-racing so I gave the honors to my brother-in-law, I have a question though.
He claims to have read 156 mph off the tach, I'm 99% sure that that is very incorrect, I believe the actual speed was more like 130-135.
Anybody know?
BTW, we ran a 12.32....I know she can go faster, I blame the brother-in-law.

Stock bikes come with an intentional error usually about 7-10% above actual. This is so they pass government regulations. They face strict sanctions if the speedo reads lower than the speed limit so they purposely make it higher. for a stock bike to be off 15-20% without any mods is a little off though.

Not too shabby.
I've personally only taken my F4i to our local strip twice, and since I'm not the best drag-racer I pretty much embarrassed ourselves lol.
Still, 12.3 ain't bad.
I wouldent know what you actual speed would have been though, I think there is a speed correct calculator out there, a guy at another forum that i am member of made one to correct the Ninja 250R speed error.
I'm pretty sure you can do the same for the F4i.

So a speed of 156mph, what would that translate to actual speed?

+1 about 142 - 146mph was prolly the actual speed. Your time slip should tell you what the actual speed was thru the traps tho.
