Default Tries to turn over :(

ALRIGHT GUYS! I finally got my f2 fixed! ... well sort of, haha. The bike has a new throttle housing etc, and the electric start works again yay!

The other maintenance needed on it is fairly usual (the stuff it needs that I KNOW about, like chain tension etc)

But! The bike tries to turn over with the electric start, I've tried with the choke on full, nothing, tried with the throttle + choke, and tried with no choke + throttle, gas is on. So in other words, the bike tries to start and turn over, you know the sound? I think I might go record a video or something so you can hear it, but it's trying to start, but it won't, I've tried everything, and I think I'm wearing the charge on the new battery.

I was curious as to what you guys think it is, It might be the plugs I thought, but I dunno if it'd even try to turn over. It's trying to though, so any input or possibility would be nice.

Thanks guys

What's the history of the bike? Been sitting for awhile? Try spraying some carb cleaner into back of carbs and see if it starts. Also loosen drain screws on carb bowls to verify that fuel is actually getting to the carbs.

It's been sitting for... about two weeks-ish, ran fine before that, I wrecked it about... 3 weeks ago on Tuesday, so that might have something to do with that, I'll try the carb cleaner, I'm having a buddy who just graduated the hon-tech program at MMI come over and check it out too.

Well, it turns over ok, but it doesn't sound like its actually trying to start.

At first I was thinking something obvious like the side stand switch
or stop-switch. But on my F2 whenever i forget those the engine at least
tries to fire up (ie the engine fires but dies after just a couple of bangs).

I would start by checking the carbs and make sure the engine gets gas.

I would start checking that you get a good strong spark if so then start investigate the fuel system.

check that fuel is coming out of the petcock. if you have an f2 petcock, it should have two lines coming from it, one vacuum and one fuel. with the fuel switch in the down position, disconnect both and suck on the vacuum line (the smaller of the two). If fuel comes out of the fuel line, the next thing to do would be clean/check the carbs. If fuel doesn't come out... check the petcock or the inside of the tank itself (might be clogged).

anybody know if it could be from a lack of any sort of fluid?

also, anybody think I could have screwed up a coil in the wreck?

Also, I heard something about if a headlight's not plugged in some bikes won't start, is that true with f2's?
