Tachometer Not Working
Good afternoon guys.
so I finally got my T fittings replaced on the carbs and went to drive the bike for the first time...everything is gravy minus on issue.
no tachometer reading.
just need to know where to start.

just tachometer or speedometer as well? the speedo is driven off a cable that attaches to the front wheel/axle. The cable that drives the speedo can wear out, check that rotating the front wheel actually makes the cable turn. Check that the cable is attached to the back of the gauges correctly.

Tach is not driven by this cable. Only speedo is.
When you unplug the 9p connector from the tech there will be a Yellow/Green wire. Check for continuity from there to the spark unit connector (CDI) which is on on the right side of the tail section. Its the black box behind R/R.
If there is no continuity then your wiring is the problem. If there is then there is a problem with your tech.
