Default Spark Plug Accessibility

Hey guys,

Im planning on changing my plugs on the weekend for some new NGK CR9EHIX-9 6216's and I was wondering if there was an easier way to gain access to them without having to take all the fairings, seat, tank etc.

A friend in work who had a RR said he use to drop the rad and that left enough room but its a different bike so I don't know.

Thanks,

Scott.

There's lots of info on that if you search the forum. You only need to remove the access panels on the side fairings to access the plugs, three from one side, one from the other. Here's a thread that should help out you out with more details...

Get the honda plug tool. It's like $10 but it works great.

Just do it from the top man, its alot easier, I mean 2 12mm bolts for the seat, 1 12mm for the tank at the bottom, 1 8mm at the top, pull up on the tank, remove the 2 fuel lines connected to the tank, and dont forget to put your petcock to off first.
