Rear Axle nut assembly

Rear Axle nut assembly
This seems like it should be a simple question but i cant seem to find the answer anywhere on the internets.
I was pulling away from a stop sign when my rear axle nut fell off and the shaft slide out of that side of the frame. The nut appears to be gone forever.
I cant see any other damage to the bike. I got the shaft back into place and it would seem from the wheel removal schematic that i have all of the other pieces except the nut.
Now i just cant find anything that describes the size of the Rear Axle Nut. If you could let me know about the size of that nut and if i should have a lock washer of some sort in addition to the nut on there that i might be missing it would be appreciated greatly.
Thank you,

Wow, your axle nut just fell off! You are very lucky it didn't do that at highway speeds.
As you can see from the above pic, there is a special washer (#5) between the swing arm and the axle nut (#4). The axle nut fits a 27mm socket, but I don't know about the other particulars like thread pitch, etc. Just take the axle shaft down to your local hardware store and match it up with a nut.
