Odometer issue
Ok, I did a little search and got enough information to generate more questions.
I ran a tank of gas through my F2 and the odometer read 374 mi. when I filled it. It came out to 93.7 mpg!! I put 4 gallons in it.
Uh, I know they do good but not that good. So obviously the odo is off. Everything, speedo/odo comes off the drive on the front wheel right? Any sprocket changes that may have been made wouldn't change anything right? Or is it based on the revolutions of the output shaft?

I'm going to see if there's a difference between the regular odo and the trip meter. It's the trip meter that was wrong. I assume both are tied together though so I'm guessing I'm going to see the same thing in each.
And yes, it seems it would be inside the speedo or the incorrect speedo. You know if there are any issues with swapping in an earlier or later speedo? Perhaps the F3 speedos are different? I dunno.

Ok, I took my cell phone and taped it on the tank with a speedo app. going. My speedo is about 2 or 3 mph off. It's really hard to tell with these speedos, they're small, they only have 5 mph graduations and they vibrate like all Hell. It shows faster than actual. The odo seems correct too. According to my odo I'm getting 41.8 mpg. I'm not really concerned about that but I find it interesting that my 103 ci Harley Fat Bob gets a little over 43 mph.! Lol! But if you think about it, with the speedo showing fast you would rack up more than actual miles too so my mpg should actually be a little better. So it was a false alarm.

PS: This is the most fun I've had on a bike in many years! I better put some Stabil in that Harley.
