I am fixien to replace my tires. Should I replace them with the stock tires that are oem, or do you have recommendations for a good set of tires? What kind do you have? I do some canyon riding but not enough to get chicken strips, center wears out quicker than sides most times with my riding. Thank you.

 

I like the Michelin pilot 2ct. Dual compound and usually lower end of the price spectrum. I ride the canyons pretty hard and they do pretty well. Since you don't ride the edges off, maybe one of the pilot road tire would serve you well.

 

Any of the tires today are going to be many times better than the ones that originally came on your bike.
You do not need OEM tires.
I've ridden just about everything. All the major tire companies many good tires.
It's a coke vs pepsi thing. It really just comes down to personal preference.
I usually use dunlop on the track, bridgestone on the street.
But I'll run anything else if I get a good price.

On the F2, just make sure you run the right sizes 120/60 front 160/60 rear.
Might be worth freshening up the suspension if that hasn't been done.
Best tire in the world doesn't help if it's on the end of a pogo stick.

 

I'll add one more thing here. Since rears tires wear out faster than fronts.
I frequently buy a supersport type tire for the front and a sport-touring tire for the rear.
Then both tire last much closer to the same mileage.
I've had great results with something like a bridgestone S21 front/T31 rear combo.
