Default TIRES TIRES AND TIRES

Alright so im in the market for a new set of tires and i want to know what are some good tires. I have friends who say to go with the battle axes or the dunlp 207s but i was kinda interested in getting the metzler m3s. Just wondering if anyone new maybe the difference or maybe a better tire for recommondation.

I personally like my Pirelli Diablos. I have tried M3's and they are good too. 207's suck in my opinion. I've been with Diablos in the rain up in the mountains and had no problems whatsoever.

Dunlop street tires are horrible.

Michelin Pilot Poweris the best street tire for sportbikes.Long life, good grip when bookin down the road and predictable when they begin to wear out.

The Bridgestone street tires are ok,MPP's are better.Pirellis are good 'til they show signs of wear.Pirellis don't last long.

Race take-offs are a whole 'nother field of research.

So pretty much stay away from the dunlops. Thinking bout going with the mpp. Do they do well in all conditions cause up here in minnesota it can be 90 one second then pooring the next. Also, does 250 sound about right for both tires.

Yes,yes and yes.

A 160 or 170 rear will be fine.

Your friends are stupid, lol.

Bridgestone and Dunslops are terrible, I dont know if I would say the PP's are the be all end all best tires ever made for sportbikes as kjohnston must work for Michelin? But they are comparable to M3's.

I like my Metzeler racetech M3's more than the PP's in all conditions though, I live in Canada, and have truly tested these tires. Hot summers and, down to about -5 celsius, pissing rain, frozen ground etc and always ridden hard. And have only had one slip under hard braking and engine decompression in the rain, (no crash, just locked the rear up for a second)other than that they're solid, and last a while too.

Pirelli's are sticky too, but they do tend to wear faster.

Tire opinions are like azz holes.........

Street tires are street tires..........Dunlops are NOT horrible. What made them horrible? Did you fall over once and they happened to be on the bike so it's their fault? THAT happens all the time......I crashed on these tires........they suck. Well, lets see.......what ACTUALLY caused you to highside? Too much throttle too soon? Probably.

They are all decent for the street. I've run them all and at a street pace they all work fine. The track is a whole new topic, because they are not all good for the track.
