Default New bike, basic info

I have no owners manual and was wondering what fluids need to be used and what the maintenance schedule is please. Also any advice on making sure the bike is in good order before I ride it for the first time.

Thank you

Thank you

Just make shure that there is right amount of brakefluid (dot4)
Check brakes (Pads & discs).

Check & fill coolant (ordinary coolant)

Check for wobble in wheelbearings.

Check for oil leak in front forks (change seals if neccesary)

Change oil & filter ( i use Castrol GT1 semi synthetic 10/40)
Intervall is about 7-10.000km.

Change air-filter once a year.

Grease up chain (i use motul o-ring lube every 3-400km)

Check air-pressure (i use 1.9bar in bwheel. 1.7 front)

Then get on bike, & ride!!!

Congrats on new bike... you wont wear it out if you take care of it.

You can download the honda manuals here:

F2 manual:
http://www.stephygee.com/F2manual.zip

But the copy of that manual found online everywhere that I have downloaded it doesn't include chapter 1 - which is the general capacities and bike specs sections that you asked about. I've bought a Clymer manual which is a little easier to follow than the honda manual - better pics - but you can download the F3 manual and use about 99% of the info there, as the F2 and F3 were very close mechanically.

F3 manual:
http://www.stephygee.com/F3manual.zip

And the Honda common motorcycle service manual:
http://www.stephygee.com/hondacommon.zip

I found the honda shop manuals on ebay to be over priced. i went to Honda's website they sent me to another cite to buy a manual. it was much cheaper.

Dex-Col coolant for Chevy aluminum radiators should be good for our aluminum infested engine etc. Rotella T6 Synthetic Diseal oil also. No friction modifiers or extended performance oil. Rotella T6 is good for wet motorcycle clutch. Any dot 4 brake fluid changed and flushed once a year. New fork oil and seals. Clean and regrease your swingarm and shock linkage. May be check steering stem bearings. And wheel bearings.
