Jet drilling...?
I was looking at jet kits recently, and while looking at them I realize they are literally just a bigger hole for 60 bucks...Can I just get the proper size drill bit and drill right through the main jets and pilot jets???
new exhaust is popping like crazy hinting the fuel ratio is off.

Like Jank said, you don't have to buy a kit to get jets, you just need Keihin round mains, and they can be bought individually in some spots, or at least in packs of four, which is what you need - the most I've ever paid is about $4 per jet.
For the record, if your bike is popping on deceleration, you typically don't adjust mains for that...how many "turns out" are your pilot screws currently set at? If it's popping on decel, you can turn out those 4 screws, in 1/4 turn increments, and possibly eliminate the issue there, that is, depending on how many rotations they are currently turned out.

Wow what a rip-off, thanks for that info! I am unsure of the current pilot screw set, but I'm guessing it is stock because my old Yoshi pipe was popping also so I believe it was never tuned.
So turning the jets out means I should be turning the pilot jets counter clockwise, correct?
