Hid kit

I put a HID kit in my f1. Worked great. The one you posted doesn't seem to be very good. No hi/lo function and there is no bracket for mounting the bulb. Plus it's really pricey. This one is better:

I think after some further research I'm gonna opt out of the hid for the headlight. Since the bike has a reflector housing I think it's gonna suck. Thinking maybe I'll just upgrade the halogen. I don't really need more light just want a different look to it. Like a blue tint. What's a good halogen replacement and is there any that draw too much power? What would u guys say would be the limit ?

Honestly, there is no 'upgrade' in terms of halogen. At least not how the folks at Osram et al. will have you believe. I took out a crappy off brand halogen out of my bike and put in a $35 silverstar ultra advertised to be 50% brighter. EXACTLY the same. I took pictures at the time, but I don't know where they are. That's when I bought the hid and never looked back.
And don't be fooled by those blue tinted halogens your speaking of. They aren't blue and actually reduce the light output.

The blue coating reduces output, I would highly suggest if you want a new look on the headlight or a pure white light, grab a set of 4300K or 5000K HID's and thank us after you install them.

+2 I have a 5000k hid on mine and it is plenty bright without blinding oncoming drivers and it is pure white. Never knew how big of a difference it would make. I was worried about scatter and blinding drivers too. I haven't had a problem in that department and have been running it a year.
