Fuel / Vacuume Problem which one?
Let me apologize for the long post in advance, but I want to try to provide as much info as possible. Yesterday I started the bike, it warmed up fine I took it for it's longest ride yet. About 80 km. It ran like a dream. I even shut it off briefly as a got fuel and it started back up fine.
Today I started the bike, it started up fine, I gradually reduced the choke until the idle sounded weird I added more and more choke until it was full choke again and barily running. The rpm's dropped until it died when it reached about 900. I tried to start the bike again, it ran for about 3 seconds. died. started it again, ran 1 second, died. Now it is just cranking like it doesnt have quite enough fuel to start.
This has been the story EVERY time I have gotten it running. I'll get it going runs like a dream, ill let it idle for 10 minutes then shut it down. Go at it again the next day it will idle for about 2 minutes before dying.
I have done a complete carb clean, I have a brand new RR and Stator (battery is never dead when it dies anyhow, so its not electrical), and I made sure the vent hose was clear by blowing in it. One thing i thought was a little funny was that when I blow in the vent hose with the tank lid closed I can feel air coming out of the lid. I was under the impression that it was supposed to be sealed, however I doubt that small problem would cause this.
Lastly, I fixed the problem yesterday by removing the tank, blowing in the vent while it was inverted so gas started coming out of the drain tube. reinstalled the tank and all the hoses, and it ran fine.
What do you guys think my problem is?
Edit:
One other thing that might be noteworthy, is when I blow in what I'm calling the drain hose (the smaller of the two vent hoses) with the lid closed I cannot blow into it. With the lid open I can blow into it but it's quite difficult...

If I understand there is only one vent line, and that is the big hose. The other one is like an over flow line or something? Anyhow it was the big one that I blew into and it was not blocked.
Does that mean maybe my petcock valve is the issue?
