Default fuel problem... Fuel pump?

i talked to the dealer today and they say im supposed to have an electric fuel pump on my 92 cbr 600 f2. But when i got the bike it didnt have one one it. I thought these bikes were gravity fed. If im supposed to have an elecrtic fuel pump am i supposed to have the vacuum type petcock on it? I need help please!!!! Hershey your input would be great. Also i looked at the manual and it said nothing about a fuel pump. If im supposed to have one and the previous owner took it off i cant find the wires that went to it

No rebuild kit. Your best bet is to get an F3 petcock in good working order. Gets rid of the vacuum operation issues. I just bought a brand new one on ronayers, so hopefully it will be in soon. The petcock I purchased from Ebay leaks fuel.

Default petcock/carb hookup

can you use a F3 petcock with F2 carbs? I'm building a F2.5, and these fuel and vacuum lines have me beat. anyone know a good place for some pictures? or maybe an explanation on how to hook the tank up to the carbs.

The F3 petcock is an upgrade to the F2 petcock. When installing the F3 petcock, you need to plug the vacuum port the vacuum line is attached to at the intake. The F3 fuel line hooks exactly the same way to your carbs as the F2 does.

It's a straight forward swap.

F2 Petcock: (note vacuum and fuel port)

F3 Petcock: (note location of fuel port)

Honda has a rebuild kit for your petcock. You don't need to buy a whole new one.

And you don't want to use an F3 petcock either. Old carb needle tend to leak a little, this is no big deal because the petcock shuts off fuel to the carbs when the bike isn't running. F3 has a fuel pump that does the same thing. F3 petcocks installed in F2 will often time over fill the floatbowl leading to hard starting and worse.
